This organization already had substantial documentation. Over the years, it had been passed from one owner to the next, accumulating a lot of quirks and bugs over time. Topics were in various states of having been edited, with some being in good shape and some needing improvement.

Originally hired to provide editing support, BA quickly instituted and enforced an editorial style guide, making topics written by different writers more consistent and helping to evoke a single voice. Over time, we also assumed responsibility for repairing the files, which had become buggy over the years; for producing the daily builds; and ultimately for providing programmer-writing services.
